Crazy on You- Heart

Let me go crazy, crazy on you

Check out this live performance that has been restored (I promise the audience stops clapping). The amount of sound is astonishing! The range of sound and emotion that Ann Wilson displays is breath-taking.

This isn’t considered their best performance by the way (I have heard Ann sing arguably better live versions). I picked it because of the video quality. Usually, I search for the best audio performance. This throw-away live performance is so fantastic. It really shows off their talent and musicianship. And attractiveness!

Crazy on You meaning lyrics heart
Ann & Nancy

Heart’s “Crazy on You” is a song about releasing sexual frustration. The verses tell a minor backdrop of “life is hard so let’s take comfort in each other” but for the most part, the chorus makes the song. Well, besides the vocal…the acoustic guitar and the electric and the harmonies.

The harmonies are truly amazing. I was going to say maybe it would have been great to hear more but that is the exact opposite of what we want. We love Queen’s harmonies, but listen to Queen for Freddie Mercury; Similarly,  Heart’s harmonies are great but we are here for Ann.

Heart is one of the greatest bands of all time. Perhaps the most underrated. If I were to create a list of most underrated singers and guitarists Nancy and Ann Wilson would be very high on the list. People in the know, know. (They are in the Hall of fame); but it’s time they reached the masses. Everyone wears Stevie Nicks & Joni shirts. (rightfully!) I want to see Heart reach that level.

Check out Heart’s best song.

Crazy On You Lyrics

If we still have time, we might still get by
Every time I think about it, I wanna cry
With bombs and the Devil, and the kids keep comin’
No way to breathe easy, no time to be young

But I tell myself that I was doin’ all right
There’s nothin’ left to do at night
But go crazy on you
Crazy on you
Let me go crazy, crazy on you, oh

My love is the evenin’ breeze touchin’ your skin
The gentle, sweet singin’ of leaves in the wind
The whisper that calls after you in the night
And kisses your ear in the early moonlight
And you don’t need to wonder, you’re doing fine
My love, the pleasure’s mine

Let me go crazy on you
Crazy on you
Let me go crazy, crazy on you, oh

Wild man’s world is cryin’ in pain
What you gonna do when everybody’s insane?
So afraid of one who’s so afraid of you
What you gonna do?

Ooh, crazy on you
Crazy on you
Let me go crazy, crazy on you

I was a willow last night in a dream
I bent down over a clear running stream
Sang you the song that I heard up above
And you kept me alive with your sweet flowing love

Crazy
Yeah, crazy on you
Let me go crazy, crazy on you, oh
Crazy on you
Crazy on you
Let me go crazy, crazy on you, yeah

Crazy on you
Crazy on you
Let me go crazy, crazy on you, oh
